First Update

Hello friends and family!

In case you didn't know, I am studying at the Laurentian Leadership Centre this semester while interning at Ottawa Life Magazine. I am living with 22 other students in a beautiful mansion close to Parliament Hill.

I take Canadian Government, and Ethics and Public Affairs classes during the day, and in the afternoons I attend my internship. You can check out the magazine at www.ottawalife.ca.

I have been busy writing articles for our upcoming November/December Holiday edition. Let me know if you would like me to send you a copy when it comes out. Also, I'll be writing a series for our website called "Top Picks", which will showcase the top people, places and things in the capital city.

Although much of our time is spent in classes or at our internship, we still make time for fun! We have toured Parliament, the Supreme Court, and visited the House of Commons for Question Period.

Thank you for letting me share this exciting time in my life with you. I look forward to reconnecting with you all through comments, emails, and phone calls. I invited you all to my blog because you are special to me, and have played a major role in my life. I am so grateful for the support of my family and friends as I step out into the world and try to follow my dreams.
